The challenge
Sirre was previously using a custom-built system that had become too rigid
They faced several issues:
- High costs for any modification or support
- Lack of flexibility to adapt processes
- Difficulty scaling their operations
- New regulatory constraints requiring system changes
They needed a solution that would:
- Be flexible and scalable
- Reduce dependency on developers
- Structure their operations more efficiently
The solution
Dasolo implemented Odoo with a pragmatic approach, combining standard features with targeted customizations
A strong standard foundation
The implementation focused on Odoo's core modules: Sales, Inventory, Invoicing. This allowed Sidico to quickly build a stable and reliable system without unnecessary complexity.
Structuring B2B operations
Dasolo redesigned their B2B workflow:
- Management of advance orders
- Planning of deliveries
- Grouping of orders for efficient logistics
- Centralized invoicing
This brought clarity and structure to their day-to-day operations.
Production planning through smart dashboards
To support their production needs, Dasolo implemented custom dashboards:
- Aggregation of future deliveries
- Calculation of required quantities per product
- Clear visibility for production teams
This allows teams to anticipate what needs to be produced and when.
Centralized communication
All exchanges are now handled directly in Odoo:
- No more scattered emails
- Better tracking of orders and operations
- Improved coordination across teams
Building internal autonomy
A key objective of the project was to make Sidico independent. Dasolo worked closely with an internal referent who:
- Learned how to use and configure Odoo
- Can now manage day-to-day adjustments
- Reduces reliance on external support
Key takeaways
What we learned at Dasolo
Use standard tools as a foundation whenever possible
Add custom features only where they create real value
Structure operations before adding complexity. Build internal ownership to ensure long-term success.
